Got the turkey, hey, mash potato, ayyyy.

For starters, I will post this because it is simply quite astounding.

And now I shall venture into telling you words about Thanksgiving.
The details of how I got there are dull so I'll shall try to summarise for you.
Bus.
(From NewYork- Port Authority- to springfield. It was long, uncomfortable and hot)

To shape this post like a pear, I shall spare you the deets and get down to the gritty shit. Here is a list of firsts that I experienced over the thanksgiving period:

FIRST meal at Wendy's fast food establishment in Brooklyn. All three of us were stifling giggles because the woman who served us had an incredible name. I can't remember exactly what it was but to give y'all some perspective, it was somewhere between Lafwanda and Toylaysha. I kid you not.

FIRST pep rally. I'm in Massachusetts here, and we stumbled upon a huge ass bonfire. I know this is crappy pic but I wanted you to see just how big it was. My feet were cold but it felt like I was going to get a scorched face from the heat.

I am erudite.

Surrogate godmother Margaret and I being grateful and NOT hateful *

FIRST skunk hole witnessing. This is an action shot.

FIRST picture with dear Simon

FIRST intimate moment with a Massachusetts cow. Fragile.

FIRST thanksgiving. How incredible does that look?! Creds to Lily VanB for design, layout and arm.

Self explanatory

Bean pod things? I should stop the unattractive faces, I know mum.

Mass.

Northfield Mount Hermon, Mass.

HAHAHAHA.
We stopped in to say a big friendly hullo to this cat  so I could experience my FIRST animal shelter. I am going to use this cat's face when words cannot describe how I am feeling.
I hope this loveably furry sack of hatred is adopted soon. By Patrice.

Getting christmassy in Target. Not my first time in the store of that nature and chain, but it was my FIRST time in the state of New Hampshire. And my FIRST Black Friday extravaganza, during which I bought a pack of gum. It wasn't even on offer.

This is Sparky in a blankett. ADORBS.

FIRST time in Vermont where I went to this incredible vintage/antique store and saw this fur coat for $20.  I was THIS CLOSE to making it my own and naming it.

Also the FIRST time I've been in an outdoor clothing shop that provides free popcorn for customers. Why? Traditions' sake apparently. Fine by me!

We also went to see Skyfall in Vermont, made me all fuzzy inside with patriotism like a the downy hairs on the skin of a peach.

Who brings a book to a movie theatre?!

FIRST TIME IN GRAND CENTRAL STATION.
This was the final part of my journey back to New York, after travveling on an MTA train for the FIRST time with some lovely train buddies Drew,  Phil and China with the lovely nails. God speed wherever you may be. Aaanns after being in a car full of strangers  for the FIRST time (don't worry, I wasn't hitch hiking... a bit).

It was flipping cool and full of foreigners.

I also watched such classics as Say Yes To The Dress, Extreeme Makeover- Home Edition, Iron Chef and The Buried Life. God Bless American daytime TV.
I enjoyed the break but felt no personal connection to the holiday. I loved seeing more of the east coast but I packed stupidly light and wore the same pair of leggings throughout the whole trip, sacrificing actual clothes for work I should have looked at but didn't. Eventually pity was bequeathed upon me and I was given some FLANNEL PAANNTTSS, or, pyjamas to you and me. I love them.
Thanksgiving is a beuat holiday and I felt it was a good and positive thing to be reminded of how lucky one is. Classic.
